We have just returned from 10 days at Keal Lodge, and as said by previous reviewers, if there is a better CL anywhere then we would like to know where. The info pack is a mammoth binder of useful information (not full of do's and donts!) and was invaluable to us. Keith and Alison were so welcoming and helpful, we felt as though we were their personal guests - I am usually difficult to please but there is not one issue worthy of a negative comment. This is as close to perfect as you can find. Why the CL and adjacent Premier Park were not packed out we can't understand - there should be a waiting list for pitches here. A real bonus was the availability of local(cheap) car hire. This site will not disappoint on ANY level. Our thanks to Keith and Alison for making our stay so enjoyable. Barry and Sue Pladdys
Had a week at Keal Lodge. Top marks for everything. Site beautifully kept. Alison and Keith very friendly. Information pack unbelievably informative. Lovely dog walk on site, others a few minutes walk away. Will certainly go there again when we are heading that way. Thank you and your team for a great stay.
We visited Keal Lodge for the first time in April and this will certainly not be our last !
The site is immaculate and the owners, Alison and
Keith, could not be more helpful.
You can see how much time and effort is given in order to maintain such high standards.
So many small touches make huge difference.
Every award is truly deserved ......
wife and I plus our four poodles have just departed Keal Lodge in our Motorhome
after spending four very peaceful and restful nights in the most tranquil of
It is our pleasure to highly recommend this site to prospective Motorhomers seeking a first class location.
On arrival we were greeted by Alison and offered a choice of pitch all equipped with electricity, mains water and a grey water drain. Brilliant for Motorhomes. We received a very detailed pack outlining all the facilities available including access to a range of local foods stored in a freezer for clients to purchase; really helpful as we did not leave the site during our stay.
The site is immaculately maintained including the dedicated "dog walking" area which we used extensively throughout our stay.
Keith is on hand to assist with any issues and very kindly provided us with a length of pipe in order that we could discharge water directly from our Motorhome to the waste water drain on the pitch.
Nothing is too much trouble and both Alison & Keith will go out of their way to make your stay memorable.
Keal Lodge receives 5 Stars from us and is on our list for a return visit.
We stayed at Keal Lodge for three nights over the Easter weekend, what a wonderful place so quiet and tranquil. The site is beautiful, fully serviced pitches adult only, immaculately kept and Alison and Keith are so friendly and helpful. Alison and Keith really have thought of everything we were even given an information folder on arrival with loads of information about the local and surrounding area. The local village of Deeping St James is about half a mile away, a beautiful quiet hamlet where we sampled one of the local pubs, where we had a fantastic Sunday lunch..... The Waterton Arms. We will return soon, we loved it!
Just returned from a superb weekend at Keal Lodge. The site is immaculate and the owners put in a lot of work maintaining the site. We were in the touring field on a grass pitch which had wall to wall sunshine. The price, without toilet facilities, is at the top end of the market but the site is worth it and we will be returning
This is the first time I've stayed on a CL site and I wasn't really sure what to expect, a field with a few caravans? Have to say I was knocked out by the site perfect level pictures fully serviced, beautiful setting amongst trees (if wanted) spotlessly clean and tidy, upon arrival I was greeted by Alison warm and friendly and nothing to much trouble let me pick my pitch and lent me a very comprehensive local guide with maps restaurants and any number you could possibly think of, also pointed out the fridge and freezer stocked with home made pies milk and essentials accessible anytime (very handy when you run out) with an honesty box , which was a nice touch. I only booked for one night as I was attending a friend's party in the local village ended up staying an extra day after over indulging the evening before! Wasn't hounded for the extra nights fee in fact paid it on my departure and told no need to hurry off site by a set time, which makes a pleasant change to the often almost regimental rules of some site, I would definitely recommend to all
We have just spent a week on this beautiful CL and can't wait to return later in the year. The site is immaculate and Keith and Alison can't do enough for you. There is a Post Office, Bakers, General Store and take aways within easy walking distance and if you feel like a longer walk, there is a lovely walk along the river to nearby Market Deeping where you can get excellent fish and chips.
This was the first time that we had been to a CL as I have been put off CLs previously having read the reviews but this one was recommended to us. We did approach the site the wrong way but luckily made it in one piece, we will know next time we go. Keith & Alison are great, very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble even though we didn't arrive until 7.15pm. The grounds are immaculate and our dogs enjoyed the field which they had to themselves. We will be storing our caravan here from next February as Keith & Alison provide a service whereby they will tow the caravan onto a pitch and set up ready for your arrival, what a great service, means we can travel over after work, unload and unwind with fish & chips from the wonderful chippy a short drive away - bliss. See you soon!
Really enjoyed our stay on this hidden gem
Simply the best. Some positives and negatives.
Pros: Adult only - beautiful rural location - solitude, yet only five minutes from supermarkets - walks abound without having to drive - lots of places to visit if you do want to drive - a Cassoa gold storage site attached - lovely, friendly owners - level service pitches - peaceful enough to leave the world behind - and it's adult only - the list goes on.................................. .............................................. Cons: We had to go home!!! We will be back time and time again. See you soon.
Never had such a peaceful, noise free, tranquil, relaxing weekend. A wonderful site, beautifully kept by extremely nice people. Pity there aren't more sites like this one, well done Alison and Keith. We will definitely be re-visiting. Such a wonderful site and facilities that after many visits we have now decided to purchase a new caravan. We will then be able to use Keal Lodge in all seasons. Thanks Alison and Keith for looking after us for the last 10 days on what can only be described as the UK's No1.
We stayed at the site with friends in August and found it a real gem! Keith and Alison could not be more helpful or attentive and the fridge and freezer goodies are just too good to resist, well done to you both! We will be back for more of your splendid hospitality, that's a promise!
Stayed over the last weekend excellent site couldn't have been more helpful, we also store our caravan at their adjacent storage site which is also excellent. There is no wonder why you won the award, will be visiting again.
Keith and Alison not only keep the CL in remarkable order, they go out of their way to make you feel very welcome and completely at home.
This is an amazing CL site. Alison and Keith bend over backwards to do everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We were so impressed with our first visits that we decided to store there also and return very frequently. The site is kept in first class condition and nothing is too much trouble for Keith and Alison.
